Professional Development:
The Curriculum and Instruction department for Jefferson Elementary School District provides workshops and training for teachers through the year. For 2013-14, the focus of professional development is to increase understanding of the Common Core State Standards and major instructional shifts in all content areas.
The next professional development workshops (ELA/ELD/Math) will be held:
4th Grade: Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 8:15 am to 3:00 pm
3rd Grade: Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 8:15 am to 3:00 pm
2nd Grade: Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 8:15 am to 3:00 pm
1st Grade: Thursday, January 15, 2014 at 8:15 am to 3:00 pm
Pre-K/K: Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 8:15 am to 3:00 pm
** All sessions are located at the District Office Board Rooms. Light breakfast and lunch provided. Call for a substitute at least one week in advance using subcode "District Authorized Staff Development" (code B120).
